Current notices from the source

We are investing in the construction of a new comfort station this season in East River Campground (campsites 200-351) at Arrowhead Provincial Park. Visitors may encounter construction zones and noise from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The Comfort Station between campsites 244 and 262 in East River Campground will be closed for construction. The nearest operating comfort station will be located at the entrance to East River Campground.

To facilitate this work, campsite closures have been put in place.

Camping information as published

  • Car Camping: Arrowhead offers 382 campsites in three campgrounds: Lumby, East River and Roe.
  • Car Camping: The Lumby Campground is divided into two sections: North and South. The forest cover in this area is mixed deciduous. There are both electric and non-electric sites available, and it offers sites for tents and tent trailers. The Pet Exercise Area is accessible through North Lumby. Lumby Beach is accessible through South Lumby. You can access the Arrowhead Lake Trail through this campground.
  • Car Camping: The East River Campground offers private electric campsites sites that are great for trailers and tents. The forest cover in this area is mixed deciduous and conifers. This campground is closest to Stubb's Falls, and you can hear the waterfall flowing if you are camping on road 10! The main campground road runs parallel to the Stubb's Falls Trail. Beach 1 is the closest beach, accessed across the road from the entrance of the campground.

Experience & practicality

Two transparent read-time scores. Unknown facts never count for or against a place, and a score is never used as filter evidence.

Experience

Published recreation and setting.

4.1/ 10

Documented depth: 6.5 of 16 evidence weight, from 12 published facts. A low number means little is published, not that the place is poor.

Why

  • Hiking
  • Fishing
  • Mountain biking
  • Kayaking / canoeing
  • Swimming
  • Wildlife watching
  • Skiing

Published as not available

  • Stargazing
  • Boating
  • Climbing
  • Horseback riding
  • Hunting

Practicality

Published logistics: access, cost, facilities.

6.6/ 10

96% of the 9 published facts are positive, scaled by how much is documented (69% of the 16-weight target). Partial data coverage · 18 still unpublished. A thin record reads low because little is published, not because the place is poor.

Why

  • Restroom
  • Drinking water
  • Electric hookup
  • RV friendly
  • Dump station
  • Shower
  • Trailer friendly
  • Picnic table

Published as not available

  • Laundry

Fully supported: both dimensions earned a score from 21 published facts.

Methodology nmr-score-3.0.0. Park-level activities feed Experience only; campsite facts feed Practicality only. Experience measures how much recreation and setting evidence is published; Practicality is the published positive share scaled by how much of the logistics catalogue has been documented, so a handful of positives can no longer read 10/10. Unknown is never treated as a no. Neither dimension is used to filter search results, and “Best” ordering ranks fully supported records above partially supported ones.
