  • Official access warning

An RV dump station andWhen you stay at Callville Bay Campground, you can enjoy the area on land or on water. A nearby shaded picnic area has cool grass, grills, restrooms and panels explaining the history of the area. Across the street, you’ll find the trailhead to the Callville Summit Trail. This 2.7-mile moderate hike requires a short climb, but yields a spectacular view of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, the Hemenway Valley and the River Mountains. The Callville Bay Resort & Marina is within walking distance and has a dine-in restaurant and lounge, a café and store with many amenities. Down at the marina, you can rent boats by the hour or launch your own at the launch ramp. Although fishing and swimming are not allowed in the harbor where the marina is located, you can hike throughout the backcountry to find your own secluded cove.

Experience & practicality

Two transparent read-time scores. Unknown facts never count for or against a place, and a score is never used as filter evidence.

Experience

Published recreation and setting.

—/ 10

Not enough data. Only 0 relevant facts have been published for this record, so no score is shown rather than an invented one.

Practicality

Published logistics: access, cost, facilities.

6.6/ 10

81% of the 9 published facts are positive, scaled by how much is documented (81% of the 16-weight target). Partial data coverage · 18 still unpublished. A thin record reads low because little is published, not because the place is poor.

Why

  • Camping is published as allowed
  • Restroom
  • Drinking water
  • Cost is published
  • Dump station
  • $25 or less per night

Published as not available

  • Shower
  • Trash service
  • Laundry

Partially supported: only one of the two dimensions has enough published evidence, so this record is not presented or ranked as the equal of a fully documented one.

Methodology nmr-score-3.0.0. Park-level activities feed Experience only; campsite facts feed Practicality only. Experience measures how much recreation and setting evidence is published; Practicality is the published positive share scaled by how much of the logistics catalogue has been documented, so a handful of positives can no longer read 10/10. Unknown is never treated as a no. Neither dimension is used to filter search results, and “Best” ordering ranks fully supported records above partially supported ones.
