Whiteswan Park is bear country! — BC Parks is promoting a BARE Campsite program in the park and is asking all park users to help out by not leaving any unattended wildlife attractants in their campsites. Wildlife attractants include, but are not limited to: coolers (empty or full), garbage, BBQs, stoves, food, dishes/pots, fish/fish remains, pet food, gas/oil products, bird feeders, and toiletries. It is a legal requirement to properly store all wildlife attractants and keep a BARE campsite. When you leave your site unattended for any length of time or when you go to sleep at night please keep a BARE campsite. The BARE Campsite program is in place for your safety and to help keep the wildlife in our parks alive and well.

Lussier Hot Springs closed — Lussier Hot Springs is temporarily closed to protect public safety. Earlier this year, staff identified large, dislodged rocks in the upper pool and a compromised retaining wall, increasing the risk of further rockfall. Visitor safety is our top priority, and the site will remain closed until it is assessed and confirmed safe to reopen. Following the initial closure, BC Parks engaged a professional geotechnical engineer (P.Eng.), whose review confirmed unstable rock features and recommended the area remain closed while mitigation options were evaluated and implemented. Based on those recommendations, material from the damaged retaining wall was repositioned within the upper pool area as a temporary measure to help stabilize the site and support public safety wh

Experience & practicality
Two transparent read-time scores. Unknown facts never count for or against a place, and a score is never used as filter evidence.
Experience
Published recreation and setting.
6.3/ 10
Documented depth: 10 of 16 evidence weight, from 5 published facts. A low number means little is published, not that the place is poor.
Why
- Hiking
- Fishing
- Kayaking / canoeing
- Swimming
- Hunting
Practicality
Published logistics: access, cost, facilities.
—/ 10
Not enough data. Only 1 relevant fact has been published for this record, so no score is shown rather than an invented one.
Why
- Pets allowed
Partially supported: only one of the two dimensions has enough published evidence, so this record is not presented or ranked as the equal of a fully documented one.
Methodology nmr-score-3.0.0. Park-level activities feed Experience only; campsite facts feed Practicality only. Experience measures how much recreation and setting evidence is published; Practicality is the published positive share scaled by how much of the logistics catalogue has been documented, so a handful of positives can no longer read 10/10. Unknown is never treated as a no. Neither dimension is used to filter search results, and “Best” ordering ranks fully supported records above partially supported ones.
