Communal fire pits can be found in each campground loop and may be used only during appropriate weather conditions. Firewood is supplied at no extra cost for your convenience. If you choose to use the communal fire pit and are the last person there, be sure to put out the fire before leaving. Note: Chain Lakes Provincial Park is located along Highway 22, in southern Alberta, where as Chain Lakes Provincial Recreation Area is located near Athabasca in northern Alberta.

Camping information as published

  • Firewood: A limited daily supply of firewood is supplied at no extra cost.
  • Water: Pending weather, normal water service is available from the May long weekend to the September long weekend. Bring your own water to help support water conservation and as a backup measure.

Experience & practicality

Two transparent read-time scores. Unknown facts never count for or against a place, and a score is never used as filter evidence.

Experience

Published recreation and setting.

—/ 10

Not enough data. Only 0 relevant facts have been published for this record, so no score is shown rather than an invented one.

Practicality

Published logistics: access, cost, facilities.

6.9/ 10

92% of the 7 published facts are positive, scaled by how much is documented (75% of the 16-weight target). Partial data coverage · 20 still unpublished. A thin record reads low because little is published, not because the place is poor.

Why

  • Camping is published as allowed
  • Restroom
  • Drinking water
  • Cost is published
  • Electric hookup
  • Dump station

Published as not available

  • $25 or less per night

Partially supported: only one of the two dimensions has enough published evidence, so this record is not presented or ranked as the equal of a fully documented one.

Methodology nmr-score-3.0.0. Park-level activities feed Experience only; campsite facts feed Practicality only. Experience measures how much recreation and setting evidence is published; Practicality is the published positive share scaled by how much of the logistics catalogue has been documented, so a handful of positives can no longer read 10/10. Unknown is never treated as a no. Neither dimension is used to filter search results, and “Best” ordering ranks fully supported records above partially supported ones.
