Construction Advisory — Campground Expansion Project — Effective: May 13, 2026 - Until Further Notice — Please be advised that construction of the new camping loop at the Pigeon Lake Campground is scheduled to take place during the 2026 operational season. Heavy equipment and a construction crew is anticipated be on site working on the project. The areas scheduled for construction will have minimal impact to the existing campsites. We are anticipating construction noise to be present during daytime hours while the construction is taking place. The Government of Alberta is committed to ensuring all visitors have a safe experience in our parks, and all visitors are prohibited from going beyond barriers set in place. Visitors will continue to be able to access the existing camping loops, Grou

Additional information can be found online at AHS Health Advisories As always, visitors and residents are reminded to never drink or cook with untreated water directly from any recreational body of water at any time. Boiling this water will not remove the toxins produced by cyanobacteria. An alternative source of drinking water should also be provided for pets and livestock while this advisory is active. Weather and wind conditions can cause algae blooms to move from one location in the lake to another. As such, this advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

Experience & practicality
Two transparent read-time scores. Unknown facts never count for or against a place, and a score is never used as filter evidence.
Experience
Published recreation and setting.
—/ 10
Not enough data. Only 0 relevant facts have been published for this record, so no score is shown rather than an invented one.
Practicality
Published logistics: access, cost, facilities.
9.1/ 10
94% of the 10 published facts are positive, scaled by how much is documented (97% of the 16-weight target). Partial data coverage · 17 still unpublished. A thin record reads low because little is published, not because the place is poor.
Why
- Camping is published as allowed
- Restroom
- Drinking water
- Cost is published
- Electric hookup
- RV friendly
- Dump station
- Fire ring
- Shower
Published as not available
- $25 or less per night
Partially supported: only one of the two dimensions has enough published evidence, so this record is not presented or ranked as the equal of a fully documented one.
Methodology nmr-score-3.0.0. Park-level activities feed Experience only; campsite facts feed Practicality only. Experience measures how much recreation and setting evidence is published; Practicality is the published positive share scaled by how much of the logistics catalogue has been documented, so a handful of positives can no longer read 10/10. Unknown is never treated as a no. Neither dimension is used to filter search results, and “Best” ordering ranks fully supported records above partially supported ones.
